About

When I started this blog, my wife, Eva, was 7 months pregnant with our first child and her mother asked if she could come stay with us.

A bit of background:
Eva's mom has a serious gambling problem, and she abandoned her when she was a young child.

United World Schools was started and is directed by my good friend Chris.  He runs free schools (in developing countries) for people in remote areas with no access to education.  UWS is doing amazing things, so please check out the links below.

The Center for Children's Happiness (CCH) is run by another dear friend, Mech Sokha, and they are doing amazing things for the disadvantaged children of Cambodia, especially the street and dumpster children.  I was a tourist in Cambodia and stumbled across CCH and was so impressed with what they were doing, that I decided to stay and help out a bit.  That was in 2007 and I'm still here today helping CCH as much as possible.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0hXUZ7Az0oA    Every Sunday, the children from CCH  go out into the poor rural areas and help the other disadvantaged children.  All the children that do the outreach, used to live on the city dump themselves, and are now doing all they can to help educate and help other children who still haven't been given a chance in life.

If you want to get involved in some really rewarding, uplifting, and worthwhile activities, send me a message and I can point you in the right direction.
